Carbon Management
The carbon emissions generated from the Coal gasification and DRI units will be managed through state-of-the-art European carbon-capture, purification, and liquefaction technology. All captured CO₂ will be routed to a dedicated conditioning hub where it is purified to stringent industrial standards, liquefied, and prepared for downstream applications.
The resulting liquid CO₂ will be channelled into multiple high-value utilisation pathways, including food and beverage processing, construction materials and aggregates, urea production, and enhanced oil recovery. This diversified utilisation model maximises economic value, reinforces circular-economy practices, and serves as a central pillar of Greta Energy’s long-term decarbonisation strategy.
Together, these initiatives anchor the Greta Green Steel Ecosystem, integrating clean technologies to deliver lower-carbon steel for a sustainable future.
